What classes should I take next year?

I’m currently a high school junior, and I need to figure out what type of classes I should take next year. I’m in this dilemma because I recently moved (well, I moved in July before my junior year started) and I may or may not graduate in the current state I live in (South Carolina). I should be returning to Ohio after this year, but it depends on whether or not my grandma is in good enough health as she is the reason we moved down here.

I’ll list all of the classes I’ve taken since my freshman year and up until my current year with the classes I think I should take next year.

Oh, and in South Carolina, you need 24 credits to graduate and in Ohio, you only need 21 credits to graduate.
Freshman year:
Language Arts 9 CP – 1
Global Studies I / World History CP – 1
Spanish I CP – 1
Integrated Physical Science – 1
Algebra IA – slower math course since I suck at math. – 1
Healthy Decisions – 0.5
Total Fitness – 0.5
Study Hall (2 times) – 0

Sophomore year:
Language Arts 10 CP – 1
Spanish II CP – 1
Global Studies II / American History – 1
Biology 1 CP – 1
Algebra 1B / Geometry – 1
Lifetime Activities – 0.5
Resource Management / Home Economics – 0.5
Study Hall (2 times) – 1

Junior year (current year):
English 3 CP – 1
Chemistry 1 CP – 1
French 1 CP – 1
Geometry CP – 1
Algebra II CP – 1
Integrated Business Applications I – 1 (Computer science course)
Spanish III – Honors – 1
Government CP – 1

My current high school is on a block schedule (4 classes one semester and 4 classes the next semester)
My old high school is on a schedule of seven periods per day. On Fridays, you would have an activity/homeroom period included in the day (classes would be shortened to have time for clubs and activities as well as for class meetings.)

Classes I’ll take for senior year in South Carolina:
Economics – Honors – 1
English 4 CP British Literature Studies – 1
Physics I – Honors – 1
Pre-Calculus Honors – 1
Gym – Fit for Life (you need one full credit for gym instead of half of one unit, despite having to take gym for an entire year in Ohio) – 1
Chemistry II CP – 1 (You must concurrently enroll in Physics to take Chemistry II)
Fine Arts Appreciation (for college bound students) – 1
Spanish – AP – 1

If I go to Ohio next year, I plan on taking these courses:
Language Arts 12 – Honors – 1
Pre-Calculus CP – 1
AP Economics – 1
Spanish IV – 1
Physics CP – 1
Nutrition & Wellness – 0.5
Study Hall – 0
Psychology – 0.5
Study Hall – 0

I calculated that I will be on track to graduate, but I’m not sure as to whether or not those would be good classes to have my senior year to prepare for going into college.

You should schedule a meeting with your Guidance Counselor and he or she can review your school transcripts with you and make the appropriate recommendations as to which college prep classes you need and which electives will be beneficial. Even though you relocated there is no reason why you shouldn’t graduate on time.
