Does living a healthy lifestyle make you a nerd?

Posted by admin on August 21st, 2010 and filed under healthy living | 19 Comments »

I’ve grown increasingly attracted to living a healthy lifestyle the older I get. I am 32 and in better shape than most 18 year olds!. I am 6′1" 177lbs with 14 percent body fat. Anyway, a lot of my friends think I’m a nerd because I quit smoking and I onlly drink once every couple of weeks at MOST. Also, I exercise regularly and eat right. Does all this make me a nerd?

No. It means that a lot of your friends are losers. Time to start looking for new ones who respect themselves more, and you.

Good luck!

They will lose their life faster when they smoke. For you, you have a pretty Long way to go.

No way – tell them its called being a stud not a nerd.

    Nerds have:

    pocket protectors
    calculators
    eyeglasses
    etc

    Of course not.

And the best way to capitalize on your healthy lifestyle is to stop worrying about what strangers might think of you. If someone considers you a "nerd" for being healthy, is that really a person whose judgment you should be valuing?

Not at all. Your friends are actually probably jealous that they arent strong enough as you to be able to quit your old bad habits. Be happy and proud of your smart choices and keep it up!

Absolutely not a nerd and they’re perhaps jealous about not having the same willpower and commitment that you do.
But no amount of exercise or healthy eating will guarantee you won’t get hit by a bus or struck by lightning etc so don’t assume you’ll automatically live to a ripe old age just because of your lifestyle.
