    okay….natalie…there’s something you need to understand….GI isn’t everything. yes fruit is low GI but, fruit also contains fructose, which isn’t good for you. small amounts are fine but the liver turns it into fat and is uptaken by the liver hence it’s “low” GI. but that fructose is turned immedetly into triglycerides and stored in adipose tissue…meat has an insulin response….and it has a glycemic index of zero. that alone disproves it. You want vitamins and minerals eat your veggies!!!
