I have a project regarding issues in Florida and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. What are major problems faced by Florida such as the Health Care system and Education, and why are they a major issue? There Stats? And, what would be done to improve these issues.
I sincerely appreciate the help.
With health care, one thing is the number of retirees and elderly folks who come to live here. So it’s a big and busy industry, with lots of customers. It has the usual problems that other places have: uninsured people, crowded clinics and nursing homes, lawsuits, and some doctors practicing illegally.
As for education, Florida’s legislature is very cheap with schools. Florida’s per pupil spending is low compared to other states, and teacher pay is well below the national average. Classes are crowded and there aren’t enough schools to keep up with the growing population. There was a vote called the ”class-size” amendment that passed. It was to limit class sizes. The people voted for it, but the legislature is planning to cut millions from school funding this year and next. It’s too bad people don’t seem to think the public schools deserve more funding, but lots of people vote for politicians who run on tax cuts, but then the schools are always on the chopping block.
i would like to write a thesis/proposal for the importance of teaching health education in high school
Health education is a means of maintaining the apt mind-body-soul ratio,it is a means of attaining the right degree of mental status that in some way or the other aids in the overall development of an individual.Themes like diet, appetite, exercise & physical work-ups covered under health education help in creating a level of optimum output,no matter be it physical, mental, social or even psychological, from a person.Prophylaxis, prevention and curative measures with rspect to several disordered states and diseases can be attained by means of a sound health education.
In our city due to shortage of funds and unions we had to increase class size from 20 students to 25 students. Every student now receives education of worse quality, but note that ALL kids receive equally worse education.
What will we have to do when we face the shortage of health care ?
the bad students need to be expelled..
same with sick people the old ones are not worth saving.
Obama says "get in the oven granny"
PS weren’t we going for a ride to Vegas ?

With all this talk about reforming health care, I hear a lot of people talking about not wanting to pay for other’s health care and about how free health care isn’t a right. Don’t we use a tax-based system for education or am I missing something? What’s the difference?

Two matters that are identified as important to voters are health insurance and education. In Chicago, the drop out rate for high school students is nearly 50%. If health insurance were provided to all students, would it be sufficient incentive to keep teenagers in school. Also, since life-long education would benefit society as well as individuals, wouldn’t it be a good idea to provide insurance as part of every college and university program? Perhaps the cost of health insurance to the taxpayers would be offset by the benefits to society of having an well educated population and keeping young people in school rather than allowing them to become burdens on society?
As a former teacher in a low income area there is sufficient evidence that many of the woes are students deal with are due to lack of sufficient medical care. I think real preventative medicine, especially with access to vision and dental care, would help many issues in the classroom (particularly in the younger years).
