On television the word "junk food" appears often but suggestions of healthy nurishment are rare. What is your suggestion ?
Hummous is the best thing on earth. Put a (drained) can of chickpeas into a blender, add 2-3 tablespoons of OLIVE oil, one clove chopped garlic, and blend until pureed, adding water as you go if it gets to thick.
Then you can dip pieces of WHOLEWEAT pitta bread, sliced carrots or celery in it and it tastes fantastic.
Add garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and/or coriander leaves to the hummous for extra flavour.
Another good food is basmati rice. It has a lower GI rating so you don’t get hungry right after eating it. Rice is really low in calories, so a meal like chilli or curry that you can eat with rice can be very healthy. To make an easy chilli, chop up your favourite vegetables and fry in a little olive oil. Add chilli powder (or fresh chopped chillies if you’re feeling brave), a can of tomatoes (or fresh chopped tomatoes) and a can of red kidney/chilli beans (look out for the ones that come already in chilli sauce). Simmer for about 15 minutes and serve with a dollop of zero fat sour creme (craime fraiche) or cottage cheese.
To make an easy curry, you could do the same thing but with a balti powder, or to be a bit different, fry the vegetables in a little sunflower oil, add some garam masala powder or korma powder. Fry it until they are really well done, then, keeping the pan on the heat, add enough BOILING water to cover the vegetables. Let it reduce down, then spoon in some zero fat sour creme and stir until you have a smooth creamy sauce. It tastes like it is bad for you, but it’s not!
Also, I don’t believe in ever cutting out a food group. People who don’t eat carbohydrates must be so bored!
I’m currently a high school junior, and I need to figure out what type of classes I should take next year. I’m in this dilemma because I recently moved (well, I moved in July before my junior year started) and I may or may not graduate in the current state I live in (South Carolina). I should be returning to Ohio after this year, but it depends on whether or not my grandma is in good enough health as she is the reason we moved down here.
I’ll list all of the classes I’ve taken since my freshman year and up until my current year with the classes I think I should take next year.
Oh, and in South Carolina, you need 24 credits to graduate and in Ohio, you only need 21 credits to graduate.
Freshman year:
Language Arts 9 CP – 1
Global Studies I / World History CP – 1
Spanish I CP – 1
Integrated Physical Science – 1
Algebra IA – slower math course since I suck at math. – 1
Healthy Decisions – 0.5
Total Fitness – 0.5
Study Hall (2 times) – 0
Sophomore year:
Language Arts 10 CP – 1
Spanish II CP – 1
Global Studies II / American History – 1
Biology 1 CP – 1
Algebra 1B / Geometry – 1
Lifetime Activities – 0.5
Resource Management / Home Economics – 0.5
Study Hall (2 times) – 1
Junior year (current year):
English 3 CP – 1
Chemistry 1 CP – 1
French 1 CP – 1
Geometry CP – 1
Algebra II CP – 1
Integrated Business Applications I – 1 (Computer science course)
Spanish III – Honors – 1
Government CP – 1
My current high school is on a block schedule (4 classes one semester and 4 classes the next semester)
My old high school is on a schedule of seven periods per day. On Fridays, you would have an activity/homeroom period included in the day (classes would be shortened to have time for clubs and activities as well as for class meetings.)
Classes I’ll take for senior year in South Carolina:
Economics – Honors – 1
English 4 CP British Literature Studies – 1
Physics I – Honors – 1
Pre-Calculus Honors – 1
Gym – Fit for Life (you need one full credit for gym instead of half of one unit, despite having to take gym for an entire year in Ohio) – 1
Chemistry II CP – 1 (You must concurrently enroll in Physics to take Chemistry II)
Fine Arts Appreciation (for college bound students) – 1
Spanish – AP – 1
If I go to Ohio next year, I plan on taking these courses:
Language Arts 12 – Honors – 1
Pre-Calculus CP – 1
AP Economics – 1
Spanish IV – 1
Physics CP – 1
Nutrition & Wellness – 0.5
Study Hall – 0
Psychology – 0.5
Study Hall – 0
I calculated that I will be on track to graduate, but I’m not sure as to whether or not those would be good classes to have my senior year to prepare for going into college.
You should schedule a meeting with your Guidance Counselor and he or she can review your school transcripts with you and make the appropriate recommendations as to which college prep classes you need and which electives will be beneficial. Even though you relocated there is no reason why you shouldn’t graduate on time.
I really dont have a problem with it but sometimes the answers are just plain wrong. Particularly the ones about masturbation.
Ladies please, leave these kind of questions to the pro’s.
we are just very much concerned abt men’s health….
–i mean.. no one would like to get it on with damaged goods!!
and if they do get deteriorated in time, at least we’ll be sure to know how to FIX it…..
its just the one tablet and you get the tube of cream aswell, i took it sat evening, how long does it take to start working and completely clear it up.
If you took an oral tablet it will already be working, within the next day you will see a big difference, these candida fungi are pesky but the tablet does dampen their spores away quite effectively.
I have to write a research proposal for my scientific writing class, and I am having trouble coming up with a topic. I think my problem is that I’m not get a clear definition of what a research proposal is. Am I stating a problem and then trying to find a solution? Does anyone have any good suggestions on what to write about preferably something related to health, nutrition, exercise, or anything in that field. Basically anything that will not bore me to tears. Appreciate the help
I did a project on aromatherapy a few months ago
it was pretty cool
Somewhere that has a plan, but free time, nice accomdations, maybe spa services, meditation. I am not sure if I am ready to dive into a Buddist Retreat, but a place that has common values. I would like to know if you have any recommendations?
www.ebeautyzone.com
If so, did it work out for you? Were there significant changes after you completed the program?
Yes, it works!

This is a very complex question. I can’t answer it completely without a lot of research, but this is what pops into mind:
The type and amount of pigment (melanin) in your skin is determined genetically and enhanced by exposure to the sun.
Normal hormonal fluctuations can affect skin pigment, such as the mask of pregnancy (melasma). Some diseases and conditions affect pigment, including yellow jaundice from blood cell breakdown or orange pigmentation from excess carotene in the diet. And of course anemic people tend to be pale, but I don’t think that qualifies as "pigmentation".
im going to college right now for physical and health education but the college i go to offers a police academy/associates degree program and i think i would like a career as a cop please let me know and give some information about both
The Internet is a wonderful invention. If you take your subject of your question and add to what you want to know about it, the search engine will do the rest. For example:
My subject is Teaching. I want to know where to get certified.
The search engine result is as follows:
Teaching + state certification requirements
What you get is this: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Teachin…
This will work for any subject category. Give it a try and good luck
