I’m doing a huge project at school in order to graduate and I chose to go to the local library or boys and girls club and teach young kids (under the age of ten) about keeping healthy lifestyles, nutrition, and exercise.
I need some help figuring out topics to include in my lesson plan, and ways of teaching them so that they don’t get bored soon. I want to keep the info light, but good enough that they see it’s importance and it would make an impact.
Any ideas would be appreciated!!!
Thanks.
Do a pyramid Game with them.
Or teach them a rhyme.
Sugary sweets sure taste good but use it sparling.
Fruits and veggies are delicious and should be eating 3 times day and etc…
I feed my 4-month old kitten Wellness CORE, both dry and canned food. I noticed recently that Wellness has a "Kitten Formula" in both dry and canned that is not part of the CORE line. Is she still getting the proper nutrition even though what I’m giving her is not "kitten" specific?
The Core is very good. Check the protein level–in dry food a kitten needs more than 34%, in canned food it should be over 11% protein.
have you looked at there question and the replys back, that sure sounds like some sweetness
thank you, i won’t be visiting that section, ever
i took the tablet sat evening just wondering how long does it take to clear thrush up,
Usually about 24-48 hours. No more than three days. You can also use the topical Canesten cream as well? This might give immediate relief. If symptoms still persist after three days, with no sign of improvement, see your GP as it may not be thrush you have.
an inticing recipe using cottage cheese. I am wanting to emphasise the need for calcium. Healthy snack ideas are where to start but can only think of cottage cheese and fruit.
Any ideas????

Calcium and Vitamin D are nutrients that have received much attention in recent years because they work together to prevent several chronic diseases. One of the best sources of calcium and Vitamin D is milk, but there are other sources. This pamphlet can help you understand why adequate amounts of these nutrients are needed for overall health and prevention of disease. You will also learn ways to meet the recommended intakes of each nutrient.
Where Is Calcium Found In The Body?
About 99% of the calcium in the body is in the bones and teeth and 1% is in the blood, muscles, and other soft tissues (such as the nerves, organs, etc.) This 1% plays a major role in our health.
Calcium is a very important mineral because it…
Combines with phosphorus to form bones and teeth, making them hard and resistant to breaks and decay. Children need to get enough calcium for their bones and teeth to develop normally. Getting enough calcium early in life helps bones remain strong later in life.
Helps muscles to contract normally. A deficiency can cause muscle spasms and cramps.
Helps blood to clot normally, when you get a cut or wound.
Is essential for nerve messages to be passed along the nervous system from the brain to other parts of the body and vice versa.
Helps regulate blood pressure. Low calcium intake has been associated with high blood pressure. People with high blood pressure should make sure they consume the recommended amount of calcium (1000 to 1500 mg per day). African-Americans have a higher rate of high blood pressure than other groups and tend to have low calcium intakes.
Calcium may help prevent colon cancer, one of the most common forms of cancer. Calcium may reduce cancer risk in two ways: (a) by binding fat and bile acids in the large intestine, keeping them from causing harm and (b) by preventing the excessive growth of cells in the intestines, which could otherwise lead to cancer.
I will be opening a Chiropractic practice soon and am trying to figure out if I should use chiropractic or health and wellness in the name of the clinic. Just wanting some thoughts and feedback as to why or why not to use either of these. Thanks!
Thanks for the positive feedback so far from the adults on this question. As for as the answer from the child, or possibly just immature adult, you should really stay out of the alternative medicine section if you believe that pills and surgery are the only ways to help people.
don’t mind the pill pushing failures who don’t know the first thing about health. genuine chiropractic has earned a reputation for doing what medicine can’t- getting sick people well. if that’s what you do, tell the world.
Like click the red potion and then what?
Cause i got plenty of health potion but don’t know how to use it to refill my health.
Sorry, i just started playing Diablo.
You can right click on a potion to drink it, or just tap the keys 1,2,3 or 4 in order to drink the potion of that slot. Key 3 means the third slot from the right and so on.
required to explain the difference to a 6 year old student, a 11 year old student and a 15 year student , all these in about 100 words
Wow – fun question.
For me the difference between promotion and education lies in the differences in the intent of the action.
To promote health or healthy living you are trying to get people to ‘buy’ the idea of good health. It is a sales job of sorts. Sort of like advertising but less in your face but can be as manipulative.
To educate someone about health or healthy living you are helping them acquire the tools to do it. It’s not a sale job it is helping you find a way to achieve good health.
I think I did it in 100 words – probably less. Hope this helps.
